Providing Hope – One Child at a Time

For 22 years, Canadian Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Peter Adamson has been leading humanitarian surgical missions to countries disadvantaged in health care, transforming the lives of children with serious facial deformities.

An internationally recognized facial plastic surgery specialist, Dr. Adamson founded Face the Future™ Foundation to help address the serious social and medical conditions experienced by many children living in impoverished, war-torn and isolated regions of Africa, South America and Russia.

By establishing strong partnerships with medical centres and national health ministries in these areas, Dr. Adamson has been able to recruit some of the world’s leading health professionals who accompany him on humanitarian medical missions annually. In 2019 missions are being planned for Rwanda, Ethiopia, Russia, Dominican Republic and Nepal.

Dr. Adamson and his volunteer mission specialists devote countless hours of personal time and resources to make these missions possible. These missions were sparked by a generous endowment from one of Dr. Adamson’s patients and have been sustained over the past two decades thanks to the leadership of a prominent group of community builders who form the Foundation’s Board of Directors and generous friends of the Foundation.
